Spring Concert: Brunch with Taiwanese Musicians

Event Objectives:
• A platform provided by JHU-TSA to help support the development of professional career for Taiwanese student artists.
• 30% of donation to the Mennonite Christian Hospital, Hualien, Taiwan.
• To raise basic annual funding for JHU-TSA.
• Suggest donation: $20 to accomplish the above objectives.

Program:
• Chopin - Scherzo No.3 in C-sharp Minor, Op.39
• Schumann - “Waldszenen”, op. 82
• Mendelssohn - Songs Without Words - Venetian Gondola Song
• Alfred Reed - Ode for Trumpet
• Bach - Suite No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1009

Event Background:
• The 1st annual Taiwanese Musician Concert (2011) will bring together top executives and professionals in academic and industry from Baltimore and DC area to a fabulous program of classical music that will inspire the attendees with a heavenly spiritual experience.
• Planned as a part of Taiwanese Art Series, this year’s event will take place on Saturday, February 26th, 2011. Featuring a certain amount of collections from Taiwanese or other Asian student artists and architects, we expect enthusiastic, lively, and large group of attendees.

Activities:
• Concert – 6 units of international-known Taiwanese student musicians will be performing their instruments of expertise.
• Art Collections Exhibition – A free admission to a room featuring paintings, sketches, and other collections from Taiwanese/Asian student or young artists.
